Whale Tales started off as a pitch to create an artwork that combines AI, tech and Climate Change for the BeFantastic Together Fellowship in 2021. The world was on lockdown, all sessions were held online and yet 5 dreamers found themselves huddled together, discussing details of climate action, life under water, SDGs, education, marvels of tech and AI. The result of those intensely engaging conversations is what you see here.
Further the Grant during the C3 (Code, Creativity and Community) Fellowship 2021-22 by Befantastic, Gothe Mumbai and ZMK, Karlsurhe, has helped the project in going physical with the book prototype, Mural creation as well as knowledge sharing sessions in universities and online community.
We hope to continue the development of the project under the DAF Studios, as we gear up to create the game and refine the stories to contribute toward awareness about Ocean and Whale conservation in context to Climate action.
